Nestled in the heart of historic Turin, overlooking a small tree-lined square, stands the “Casa Antonelli” project. The apartment, which features a corner layout, is arranged over two levels: the living area, including a small study, is located on the ground floor, while the mezzanine houses two bedrooms with an adjoining bathroom.
Fixed furnishings such as the kitchen, the sideboard, and the bookshelf wrap around the thick masonry walls, forming large volumes with rounded corners that allow for fluid movement between one space and another.<\/p>\r\n
The partition wall separating two areas of the house becomes a focal point thanks to a custom-designed cabinet that wraps around it, transforming it into a functional link that connects the dining area and the living room. The interior design was developed using a soft, subtle interplay of elements, with oak wood blending seamlessly with subtle earth tones and deep green accents. The rounded corners of the large wooden structures create a subtle interplay of contrasts that highlights the tension between the softness of the lines and the heaviness of the monolithic wooden forms.<\/p>\r\n
The sleeping area is located on the mezzanine level and consists of two bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom. On this floor of the house, the rooms have different proportions than those of the grand, stately living room on the lower floor. The low ceilings and the curved, sinuous lines of the vaulted ceilings give the rooms an intimate and cozy atmosphere.<\/p>\r\n
