Design, therefore, is storytelling.

A space must be able to tell a story — narration is an intrinsic quality of place. Architecture becomes the natural outcome of a design process understood as the expression of an identity, whether existing or newly created. The spaces we inhabit should convey a story that is both unified and coherent.

To narrate a space means to understand it. This begins at the very moment when the pencil traces its first lines on a blank sheet of paper.

R3

Founded in 2015 through the collaboration of Marco Pippione, Alexandru Popescu, Matteo Restagno, and Gian Nicola Ricci.
University companions who met in classroom R3 at the Polytechnic University of Turin, they opened their first temporary studio by creating, within 13 square meters, a light and flexible structure — a manifesto of their architectural approach.

Assimilation of context, functional devices, work on verticality, study of flows and pathways, materiality of finishes, harmonic contrasts, and architecture within architecture — these are the elements around which their projects revolve.

R3architetti

The atelier is currently composed of Marco Pippione, Alexandru Popescu, Matteo Restagno, Gian Nicola Ricci, Marzia Martinelli and Agostino Ruggiero, supported by specialists from various disciplines to ensure comprehensive project management.
Over the years, the studio has distinguished itself for the quality of its interior design work — recognized with numerous awards — and for its success in both national and international design competitions.
