Fagiolo verde
A four-bedroom apartment in the heart of San Salvario, Turin, that has undergone a complete spatial reconfiguration: a balance between the existing structure and the new design, where the project engages with the apartment’s original identity through a contemporary aesthetic.
By working with the interior heights, small functional spaces were created that are independent of the main volume of the rooms. Set within the vaulted rooms and intentionally kept lower, they allow the vaults to be viewed in their entirety, amplifying the sense of space.
A green kitchen, the heart of the living area, serves as the hub of daily life. With its rounded corners, it wraps around the main partition, defining traffic patterns and functions in a fluid and natural way.
In the master bedroom, the space housing the en suite bathroom features a small interior window that lets in natural light, creating visual continuity and a soft, cozy atmosphere.
In the vaulted rooms, portions of the original plasterwork have been preserved as a testament to the passage of time and the layers of human habitation. Their textured surfaces complement the warm, soft tones of the design, helping to create an intimate and harmonious atmosphere.
