“Circonferenza” is a hardware concept designed to ensure a democratic use of space: a structure based on a geometry free of any hierarchical form, an unbroken ring where all parts are equidistant from the center. A shaded portico finds in the circle the ultimate aggregative shape, acting as a filter space that protects a central agora.
The project involves the creation of a structural ring that can be divided into 30 segments using a curtain system, allowing the space to be partitioned to create different functional configurations.
Circonferenza will be built using scaffolding tubes, painted red and assembled with dedicated metal joints. The curtain system will consist of white polyethylene scaffolding netting, designed to ensure visual privacy.
Dry-assembled structures made from scaffolding tubes are characterized by their ease of installation, which reduces assembly times and does not require specialized labor.
