Historic, religious and cultural trails cross natural landscapes and cities, coastlines and mountains. It is from this perspective that the CON TE STO modules are inserted and assembled in different configurations to adapt to their surrounding context.
The emphasis on context is reinforced by a series of details specifically developed for CON TE STO: the large glazed openings not only ensure abundant natural light within the hostel, but also frame the surrounding landscape.
The module is also clad in a layer of aluminium sheet that reflects each environment in which it is placed, allowing the intervention to blend into its surroundings.
From a technological perspective, ventilation is ensured by the same metal layer, thanks to the cavity formed within the wall. Modularity governs the project, starting from the basic volume, which is divided in half during construction to allow transportation by articulated lorry.
